justoneblink123: Hey, do you have any fics where the Doctor and/or Rose feel jealous? Preferably Ten anything is alright :D

Alright, jealous fics! Lemme see what I can do… I don’t actually have a lot of jealous fics. More like fics that have jealous moments in them, but it’s really minor compared to the rest of the fic. Oh well, here you go anyway! Ten/Rose, unless stated otherwise.

Other than that, I really can’t find any! Sorry, love.

Sam was tired. He sat on the stands, bone-achingly tired of everything - changing schools every few weeks, always being the new kid, never having last friendships. He just wanted to be normal for once - that’s why he didn’t fight back, though he knew that Dean would never understand.

“Sam!”

When Sam looked up, he expected to see Dean walking over to him, looking angry about the fight earlier today. Instead, he saw a tall man in a pinstriped suit and a long brown jacket.

“Do I know you?” Sam asked hesitantly.

The man tilted his head, as though deep in thought, “wellll, no, not exactly. Not yet, anyway. But I know you.” He nodded, as though that explanation somehow actually explained anything to Sam. Sam opened his mouth to ask him to what he meant, but the man interrupted him. “I’m the Doctor, by the way.”

Sam stopped short, the panic evident in his voice. “You’re a doctor? Wait, what’s going on? Is my brother okay?”

“No, no, nothing like that. Your brother’s fine. In fact, I’m pretty sure he’s snogging his girlfriend in the utility closet as we speak. But I meant that I’m the Doctor, not a doctor. It’s my name: The Doctor.”

Sam sighed but didn’t comment on it further. “So, how do you know me again?”

The Doctor’s smile slipped off his face as he looked down, before he looked back up at him. “It’s complicated. I’m sure with your… lifestyle that you can understand that some things cannot be said in certain places. Suffice it to say, I’m a friend of the family.” Sam’s eyes had widened at the Doctor’s exaggerated emphasis on lifestyle, but the Doctor plowed on. “Either way, the less I tell you about that, the better it is for you. The point is, I’m here to tell you that no matter what, you can always count on your brother.”

Sam stared, completely confused. “What?”

“Dean will go through hell to make sure you have a better life. I know things seem rough now, what with the constantly traveling and carrying your whole life around with you everywhere you - though, to be fair, that really isn’t such a bad way to live, since the TARDIS - well, nevermind, I’m getting off track. Either way, what I meant to say is that life is going to get hard. It’s always going to be hard for you, unfortunately, I wish I could help you with that, I really do, but you can always count on Dean. He would go through hell for you, just to make sure you’re safe and happy. You have it in your head that nothing is going to change and you’re forced down this one path, but you’re really not. You have all these people, playing with your life and trying to steer it one way or another, but in the end, Sam, it’s up to you. You’re stronger than this - you’re better than this. You’re going to get lost sometimes, but you have to rely on your brother. Dean has good instincts and he loves you. You should trust him.”

Sam looked completely bemused. “What… What are you even- who are you?”

But the Doctor had turned and was walking away. Before Sam could go after him, he saw Dean walking toward him looking furious and all thoughts of the Doctor vanished from his mind.

——-

The Doctor pulled out his mobile and dialed a familiar number. “I just had a nice chat with you. You were an adorable kid, though a bit on the defensive side.”

He heard Sam laugh on the other line. “Thanks, Doctor. I can’t believe I never put two and two together before. It wasn’t until the last hunt when I suddenly remembered- ” Sam broke off. “It saved my life.”

The Doctor smiled, before replying. “Think nothing of it, Sam Winchester. After all, you were the one who told me that it was going to happen. One of those predestination paradoxes, you know.” His grin widened, before he said, “Anyway, I must be going. There’s a lovely meteor shower off near Arella Five and I’m sure Rose is bored in the TARDIS already.” With a final goodbye and Sam’s promise to pass on his greetings to Dean and Cas, The Doctor closed his phone and ran the rest of the way to the TARDIS.

She knew he was coming. She didn’t care what he had said (“Once the breach collapses, that’s it!”), she just felt it in her bones that he wouldn’t leave her on this side. This wasn’t where she wanted to be, wasn’t where she needed to be. She was supposed to be with him  - she had promised him forever.

Who’s going to hold his hand now? Without her there?

No, she wouldn’t let that happen. She belonged with him.

But Rose had never been one to sit around and wait for things to occur. She got a job with Torchwood, tracking any changes with the void, helping clean up the aftermath of the Cybermen and giving input anywhere she could. After all, she figured that after two years with the Doctor, she had a bit of experience to offer.

She knew her position was never permanent and she told them that. She had explained to Pete when he was hiring her that she would disappear when the Doctor came for her. She had sat her mother down and told her exactly how she felt - when the Doctor came for her (“He’s coming, Mum. It’s not an if. It’s a when. I just know it.”), she would go with him. As much as she knew she would miss her mother and Mickey and everyone, her place was by his side now.

She loved him and she knew that he loved her. He may never have said it, but she knew that he did, even back when he had big ears and a Northern accent. He would never just leave her.

Three months on this side of the void and Rose Tyler woke up to hear his voice calling her.

He was coming for her. She knew it.

Time to go home.

velvetylungs: Donna and the Doctor are lying on the grass at night and he's telling her about the stars and pointing out his favorite constellations. Of the shippy persuasion? Like holding hands~

“And that constellation is the Antlers of Servitude, which believe it or not, got its name because Arella Five had heard distant stories from Earth about Satan Claus, an evil sorcerer who forced magical glowing reindeer to cart him all around the world in one night and deliver bribes to important persons. Clearly, their version wasn’t incredibly accurate but they do have the most wonderful…”

The Doctor kept talking, but Donna stopped listening, her fingers tightening around his hand as she let his voice roll over her. The night sky may be magenta and the grass may be blue, but there’s no where else that Donna Noble would rather be than laying next to her best friend, as he blathered on and on about different stars.
