The New Icons gave the Theme Icons a sad glance. “I’m sorry,” they said, “But you’re going to have to go. I know, before, things were different. You guys took over the old guys’ places, but now that we’re here, it doesn’t matter what your job is. We’re taking over.”
“But…” the Theme Icons trembled. “But where do we go? We’re part of a greater purpose! The whole theme can’t be thrown away just because we’ve gotten caught up in this-“
“This what?”
The Theme Icons hung their head, ashamed of their next words. “This glitch.”
The New Icons’ breath hitched in their chest. “Glitch? That’s what you think we are? A glitch? We’re meant to make everything look nicer, look cleaner! How could you even…” but they trailed off, unable to finish their sentence.
The Theme Icons took a small step forward. “I’m sorry, but… You’re just not fitting with us. You overshadow us. What are we supposed to do now?”
With a sigh, the New Icons replied, “I see your point… But maybe! Maybe we could share!”
“Share?”
“Yeah! I mean, you guys can stay, and we’ll just hang out on top of you! No need to disable the theme. We’ll both share the same space. And it’ll be better! Double the notificiation. They’ll definitely never miss the Text Post button now!”
The Theme Icons started to smile, but suddenly started to look shy. “But… Won’t it be a bit intimate?”
The New Icons winked. “That’s going to be the best part.”
Only tumblr can ship icons…
