#Rose thinks he’s walking out #he’s leaving #and she’s a bit panicked #Obviously he IS leaving but he answers her question with ”Nowhere” #because he couldn’t leave her behind now #he already needs her #and he doesn’t know it yet (he wouldn’t admit it to himself) #but he already loves her #And the fact that he admits ”It’s a bit human in there for me” #As much as he loves and embraces humanity#he isn’t one of them #he never is #Even TenToo has to step outside the Tyler mansion sometimes #when Jackie’s bustling around the kitchen with one of the cooks getting things ready #shouting across the house for Pete to finish hanging up the pictures she bought that afternoon #and Tony running around the living room screeching and pretending he’s a spaceship #Jake is over too along with his new boyfriend (the one with the great eyes) #and Rose is chatting away with them#howling happily about adventures they’ve had on their latest Torchwood mission#TenToo will quietly slip out the back door and find a quiet spot in the corner of the yard #and listen to the squirrels chittering away (apparently there’s a terrible acorn shortage this year #so says the squirrel with black ears #and TenToo makes a mental note to pick up some peanuts next time he’s at the store #and leave the bag back here for them) #TenToo lays on the ground and stares up at the sky #hands tucked behind his head #and in his head he lists every planet he’s ever visited #in alphabetical order #until the Time Lord part of him and the Human part of him settle back down like they should #Or until Rose joins him and they cuddle together in the grass ignoring Jackie when she shouts out the door at them that it’s time for supper (via gallifreyburning)
