Firstly, I defend ALL companions (I just happen to defend Rose more often because Rose appears on my dash more). Secondly, I tag it as GitF because I assume that people who are going to be looking for gifs from Girl in the Fireplace will be looking in the Girl in the Fireplace tag, not GitF. I have never once tagged any GitF meta with anything OTHER than GitF, thus trying to keep it out of the tags. The only reason I tag it with GitF is because of tumblr savior reasons.
Secondly, my GitF hate consists of well thought-out and realistic meta about why I dislike GitF, which is not what one can usually say about Rose Tyler hate. I appreciate any and all realistic and well thought-out Rose Tyler hate, as evidenced by this post. I enjoy reading people’s legitimate responses, because it helps me understand the characters better. I even wrote a whole meta on Rose Tyler as “Selfish”, based on people’s reasons for disliking Rose.
Thirdly, I honestly didn’t even realize how often my posts were showing in the GitF tag (or that people would actually go into the GitF tag, as opposed to Girl in the Fireplace). I honestly only do it for tumblr savior, so I’ll just go back and retag everything as “gitf meta.” Sorry, Anon! I didn’t think about it, and that’s clearly my bad.
Finally, I did see the post about hating GitF in the Rose Tyler tag and I did what I almost always do nowadays when I see hate in the tags: I blocked the person. The only reason I even responded tonight was because they reblogged DIRECTLY FROM ME and it threw me for a loop.
