How do you pronounce your name and what does it mean? Can I call you Nili?
It’s pronounced Nee-lee and it means ‘the beauty of the colour of the Nile River’ (technically translated from Farsi as ‘of the Nile’). Either way, it essentially means dark navy blue. No, not muddy brown. Of course you can call me Nili. It’s my name.
Why is your URL ‘winterinthetardis’?
Because headcanon.
Are you really as ridiculous in real life as you are on tumblr?
Yes. Well, actually, no. In real life, I’m even worse. I’m extremely hyper, happy and friendly, not to mention loud. Seriously, I just naturally have a loud voice. It’s like I like caps so much, I speak in them.
Do you have saved tags I can go through?

How did you get the TARDIS to be your quick reblog button?
It’s actually the exact same coding as any quick reblog button, only instead of having a word or symbol, I inserted an image using <img src=”URL FOR REBLOG IMAGE THAT YOU WANT”>. See? Simple as cake! Now, for the actual image, I just found a TARDIS picture off google and photoshopped it until I liked the way it looked. If you want a complete tutorial, click here!
Do you do fic recs?
No, not so much anymore, sorry! I used to, though, before I kept getting them ALL the time and just couldn’t handle all the repeats. Sometimes, it will be open though, so for the record, I mostly read Doctor Who (Doctor/Rose) so pick a genre and/or rating and I’ll see what I can do. I’ve also read
Supernatural(Destiel), Buffy (Spuffy),Sherlock(JohnLock) and Harry Potter (Harry/Hermione, Harry/Draco, Hermione/Draco), but I didn’t save a lot of them, so I can probably do at most one fic rec post for each ship. All fic recs will be posted here. I’ve done a lot of Ten/Rose already, so check the tag before requesting more :D As a heads up, if you ask for a fic rec, sometimes it takes me some time to respond. Can I request a fanfic?
I don’t really do fic requests, sorry! I just don’t have the proper drive to write (it all kind of flows when I’m in the mood, tbh). However, when I do write, I’ll write anything within Doctor Who, Sherlock and Supernatural. I’m fine with crossovers and crack!ships as well. My fanfic requests are currently closed indefinitely, but if you really want, you can give me a ship or a prompt and I’ll see if I will find inspiration to fill it :D No promises though! All my writing is posted here, unless it is a 100 word ficlet. Sometimes it takes me a while to write it though (I’m usually working on a couple fics at a time) so please be patient!
Can I request a gifset?
Certainly! I have all of Doctor Who and Sherlock, and season 4-7 of Supernatural. I also have most things David Tennant (such as Recovery and Blackpool and such). If you want me to make anything other than that, let me know and I’ll see what I can do. :D
Can I request a birthday gifset?
I normally make those for people that I follow/who follow me back, so we’re friends and I have a good indication of their personality (thus, the creative process in making the gifset is much easier). As much as I would love to make a birthday gifset for each and every one of you, please only request one if I follow you! Also, give me at least one week’s notice. I’m not very creative :(
Can I request a meta?
Sure! Just know that I only write metas on character development and plot (preferably in the Doctor Who fandom, though I could possibly do Sherlock). If you would like to request a meta on prejudice (i.e. sexism, racism, etc.) or politics, I’m afraid I am the wrong person to come to, as I am not even close to knowledgeable enough to write about that. You’re better off asking Cate or Shannon, who are excellent meta writers and exponentially smarter than me when it comes to serious topics. You can find all my meta here.

Who are Pamela and Lauren and why do you tag them in stuff?
They’re two of my RL friends who don’t have tumblrs. So when I see a post that I think they’ll like, I tag with “for pamela” or “for lauren.”
They don’t necessarily share all the same interests (neither of them like DW that much; Lauren’s never seen Sherlock or much of Supernatural, though Pam and I were talking about ~forcing her to watch Sherlock with us…?) and since I reblog a lot, they don’t want to have to go through like 900 pages of reblogs for ten posts that they really like. So I just tag them in posts that I think they’ll like. It’s actually interesting, because you can go through and tell all their interests based on my reblogs for them.
Is there required reading to follow you?
YES, THERE IS. It’s called Non-Linear Love Story by rallalon and it’s literally the best Doctor/Rose fic written ever. It’s pure crack but it’s amazing. I’ve never ever heard anyone say anything even remotely bad about it. I reference it often, it’s the reason I have such a soft spot for Eight, and with a multi-era, timey-wimey interpretation of Eight/Rose, Nine/Rose and Ten/Rose, it’s literally my favourite thing written in the history of EVER. There are people who don’t even LIKE reading fanfiction who absolutely loved this story. So read it. NOW. (Rating: Adult)

What is GitF and why do you hate it?
GitF stands for Girl in the Fireplace, which is the fourth episode of series 2. I hate it for a lot of reasons, which you can read here. You haven’t responded to my ask. Do you hate me?
Never! I respond to almost each and every single ask that comes into my inbox, so if I haven’t responded yet, then I didn’t get it. If you asked for something that would take some time, like a meta request or a fic rec or something, then be patient because I’m probably just still working on it. Be patient and if I still haven’t responded within a day, send me another ask. I might just not have gotten your first one, because tumblr is stupid and eats messages.
The only reason I might not respond to your ask if it was hate (I don’t post hate EVER, so you can send it all you want - it’ll never get post) or if you were trolling something ridiculous and I just don’t feel like responding to it. While I do respond to most trolling messages, sometimes I get tired (mostly if you trolling is not very interesting and/or witty), so I might not respond.
You guys have to understand that I get a lot of messages per day (I decided to count one day, in which nothing extraordinary happened that made me get more messages than usual: I GOT 74 MESSAGES THAT DAY). If you guys ask me for help or need something, I will always respond. But if you just want to spam/troll me, I’ll become exasperated after a while, because I literally have 73 other messages to deal with.
FINALLY, if you keep sending me messages and I still don’t receive them, then I may have already blocked you for spamming the tracked tags. I’m sorry if I’ve blocked you (nothing personal!) and you can no longer send me messages, but I’m tired of spam showing up in the tracked tags that I follow. Unfortunately, I don’t plan for those. It just happens when I either see a certain scene and something comes to me, or I’m trying to convey a certain emotion, but I don’t have a gif for it. So yes, I will make more, but I have no idea when! If you have any ideas, though, you can let me know and I’ll see what I can do :D
How many followers do you have?
You know, I really dislike this question, ever single time I get it. Why does it matter how many followers I have? Whether I have five or five billion (though I definitely don’t have five billion), it really shouldn’t matter since you either like my blog or you don’t, you know?
For some reason, when people hear that you have so-and-so number of followers, it totally distorts their perception of the blog. And I’m not even saying the same thing doesn’t happen to me, because it does. Sometimes, blogs I love post that they only have like 100 followers and I’m completely flabbergasted because they should have ALL the followers but don’t.
Either way, I understand people are naturally curious and just want to know, but before you ask me, ask yourself if the number actually makes a difference in your life.
Can you follow me and/or promo my blog?
Unfortunately, no. I already follow too many blogs and my dash is constantly flooded, so I’ve stopped actively searching for blogs ages ago! If you want to know what makes me decide to follow a blog, click here. As for promo-ing goes, if I promo one blog, then all of my followers would have an equal right to ask me to promo them as well and then my whole blog would just be promos! I actually practice this. It takes a while and there is a very intense training regimen in which I have to have tea with a koala every third Tuesday of the month at exactly 3:14pm, not to mention a standing coffee date with a panda Friday mornings at 9am sharp. Unfortunately, while the koala is cool with it, the panda is very private (bit of a diva, tbh) and would not accept the terms of a livestream.

How can it be WINTER in the TARDIS? Isn’t the TARDIS the same on the inside, regardless of outside conditions?
You are very correct. Technically, as time is relative on the TARDIS, seasons are also relative, and thus would not exist in the TARDIS. However, the TARDIS (being as awesome as she is), can definitely make feel like winter and have it snow in a room if she wanted. If you asked nicely. [Headcanon]
What is your favourite colour?
It used to be red, but I think it’s pretty much blue now. Dark blue, in fact. One might say… TARDIS blue?! (I’m sorry.)
